I'm really excited for this upcoming lunch meeting at The Ebell.
Scheduling caused us to have to move the architecture program to September 3, so stay tuned for that.
For this meeting on July 16, we have comedian Bill Devlin. He's an actor, writer, producer, standup comedian, show host, and percussionist. His standup comedy show, Bill Devlin's Comedy & Cocktails is one of the longest running shows at the Hollywood Improv.
I absolutely love comedy. Many of you don't know this, but when I was moving from active duty in law enforcement into retirement, during my final year working I started doing comedy. I did improvisational comedy (improv), stand-up, and sketch -- Saturday Night Live style -- comedy. If you considering doing something fun and different, you have to try improv. It's fun, and really gets you out of your comfort zone.
Bill Devlin's program for us is titled: Comedy Brings Hope & Laughter with Bill Devlin.

Our popular game night is back, and it is once again being held at the beautiful home of PPx2 Joyce and our favorite Judge, Steve. Food, including vegetarian options, beverages, adult (with a signature cocktail or two) and soft, will be served. If you wish to drink something specific, please bring some to share. Parking passes available, but as always, ride sharing and carpooling encouraged. Small prizes to be awarded as well. WRC is known for many great things, and we can add being competitive to that list. I say that is one thing that helps us always strive for greatness. A mere $25.00 per person for ALL this fun, including food and drink. You will not find a better bargain throughout the southland, I promise. Coming off a wonderful demotion party, let's gather for our first official fellowship under the amazing President Leon. I look forward to winning, I mean playing, some games!
